Protection

"Some trust in chariots, and some in horses, but we will trust in the name of the Lord our God." Psalm 20:7

We have all sorts of inventions to protect our homes and loved ones. We have outdoor lights that come on when motion is detected. We have sophisticated security systems that are easily triggered. We even have monitoring cameras that we can access from miles away. It is ok to have these levels of security but the Bible teaches that God is our protector. Let’s make Him our place of refuge and our shield. Let’s look to Him for our security. He alone is worthy of our trust. He alone can save us.

Psalm 121
I lift up my eyes to the hills.
    From where does my help come?
My help comes from the Lord,
    who made heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot be moved;
    he who keeps you will not slumber
Behold, he who keeps Israel
    will neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord is your keeper;
    the Lord is your shade on your right hand.
The sun shall not strike you by day,
    nor the moon by night.
The Lord will keep you from all evil;
    he will keep your life.
The Lord will keep
    your going out and your coming in
    from this time forth and forevermore.
