Call to Come Away
In this Lectio Divina, we meditate on the invitation of Jesus in Gospel of Mark 6:31: “Come away by yourselves to a quiet place and rest awhile.”
Jesus spoke these words to His disciples in the middle of their weariness and constant demands. His invitation is still for us today — a gentle call to step away from the noise, the striving, and the endless responsibilities to simply be with Him.
As you move through this time of prayer and reflection, allow yourself to slow down and breathe deeply in God’s presence. Notice what rises in your heart as you hear Jesus inviting you to come away and rest. You do not have to earn His presence or prove your worth. You are welcomed just as you are.
May this Lectio Divina become a quiet refuge for your soul — a space to rest, listen, and be renewed by the love of Christ.
Be Still. Listen. Let God Speak.
